What users complain about

Blocked funds and withdrawals. On Trustpilot, Avazbek Isakov (Uzbekistan, 1 star, 9 February 2026) writes that from 28 January 2026 the company blocked customers' wallets "under the pretext of not meeting the AML program's requirements" and puts his blocked assets at about $1,500. On Yandex Maps, Ismoil (1 star, 11 February 2026): "they blocked the funds right after I topped up" (translated from Russian). Artem (Spain, Trustpilot, 7 August 2026) describes two months of correspondence over a refund of funds from sellers. Registration and verification. Faridun Xuvaydulaev (Google Play, 1 star, 16 September 2026): "During registration, the choice of document type and issuing country does not appear" (translated from Russian). User 911.119 (App Store, 1 star, 26 March 2026) had the profile blocked immediately after registering and was required to complete offline verification.

Fees and information given over the phone. Alina (Yandex Maps, 1 star, 26 August 2026) writes that over the phone she was promised a bitcoin exchange, but at the office they exchange "only USDT", and on top of that, she says, "there is a fee of 2.5 dollars" (translated from Russian). Ayyslana Mongush (Yandex Maps, 8 June 2026): "they didn't say that withdrawals start from 300 dollars" (translated from Russian) — this minimum, 300 USDT for an exchange at the office, is published by the platform itself (review).

Support and the app. User йцуеаро (App Store, 18 June 2026) "called about 10 times" and was told "write to Telegram"; Denyoda (App Store, 2 stars, 5 September 2026): "I keep getting logged out" (both translated from Russian).

What users praise

The office and cash in Tashkent. John Lowson (App Store, 5 stars, 11 June 2026): "It's convenient to top up at the cash desks in Tashkent" (translated from Russian).

Legal status. Diyorbek_2206 (App Store, 5 stars, 5 September 2026): "Qonuniy va foydali programma ekan" — "turns out it's a legal and useful app" (translated from Uzbek).

Cards for everyday purchases and speed. Anry Narleyn (App Store, 20 April 2026): "Nice to have ability to use cards charged with crypto for everyday purchases".

The developer replied on 28 August 2026: "no fee is charged for the exchange (conversion) itself — the transaction is performed strictly at the current rate" (translated from Russian).

"I've been fighting for two months to get my own money back" — Artem, 1 star, 7 August 2026, Trustpilot. The company replied on 14 August 2026: "we cannot identify the transaction or account from this review alone" — and asked the user to contact support.

"I was especially pleased with the discount for leaving a review — a small thing, but nice" (translated from Russian) — шох123, 5 stars, 21 May 2026, App Store.

The same review on two platforms

Cross-checking turned up a review published on two platforms under different names:

• Word-for-word match. Greben Roma on Google Play and Gennadiy Shumeyko on Yandex Maps — both on 26 August 2026, both 1 star, with identical text starting with "The staff don't know what they're doing" (translated from Russian).

Whether this is the same author cannot be established from the platforms' data.

Why Asterium's ratings diverge

The gap runs from 2.4 on Trustpilot to 4.4 on Yandex Maps. The App Store, Google Play and Yandex Maps do not disclose their review verification methods on the app and business pages. On Yandex Maps, Is Gris (1 star, 10 August 2026) claims: "they simply padded their reviews on Yandex Maps" (translated from Russian) — this is his allegation, not confirmed by the platform. On the App Store, a review by шох123 dated 21 May 2026 mentions a "discount for leaving a review"; the terms of such a discount are not described in the review.

The three aggregator sites with ratings of 2.3–3.0 do not disclose their methodology either, and each has its own quirks. On cryptorussia.ru, the verdict "We do not recommend working with this project" sits next to the phrase "Asterium is a real exchange from Uzbekistan. It operates officially", and the page carries a "Top traders" block. In its listing, tehnoobzor.com files Asterium under the "Trader" category, the rating is labeled "2.3 'Good'", and some of the 13 comments are about other projects (Aster DEX, Astras Terminal). On its Asterium page, under the heading "Asterium not paying out?", finexpo.net offers "full support in resolving this problem" (quotes in this paragraph translated from Russian).

Another source of confusion is a project with the same name. A search for "Asterium reviews" brings up pages about the asterium.club project: according to godfather.blog (20 February 2023), it is an investment scheme with daily returns, and "The Asterium project is closed, do not invest" (translated from Russian). The exchange uses different domains — asterium.uz and asterium.com; the sources do not indicate any link between them.

Is Asterium a scam or not? The editorial team does not make such an assessment: ASTERIUM JSC holds three valid NAPP licenses, with their numbers and dates given in the review and in the breakdown of the register. Allegations of fraud are the position of individual reviewers and have not been independently confirmed. Some of the "exposés" in search results concern a different project — asterium.club.

What should I do if Asterium has blocked my funds? Contact support with the transaction number: in its Trustpilot replies of 14 August 2026, the company lists the phone number +998 78 777 55 58, the Telegram bot @AsteriumHelpBot and support@asterium.uz. Why does Asterium have 4.2 on the App Store and 2.88 on Google Play? The platforms do not explain the reasons and do not disclose their review verification methods. Five-star ratings dominate recent App Store reviews (16 of 25 since June 2026), while the Google Play histogram has more one-star than five-star ratings (125 vs. 104).

Do users complain about Asterium's fees? Yes: in reviews dated 26 August 2026 on Yandex Maps and Google Play, customers write that staff promised a fee-free transaction, but a fee turned out to apply. The platform publicly discloses a 0.6% rate for an exchange at an office with a 300 USDT minimum; everything else is shown in the interface before a transaction — more in the review.
